Latino Book INTO MOVIE AWARDS

Many of us would love to see more movies being produced that star Latinos and feature Latino themes. Realizing that many movies start with a great book, Latino Literacy Now has created a second competition within the framework of its International Latino Book Awards: the Latino Books Into Movies Awards. Through this program we have honored 113 authors.

2019 International Latino Book Awards – Finalists Announced
Here’s the news that all of you have been waiting for, but first of all thank you to all who have participated in the 2019 International Latino Book Awards.

For those of you whose books are not listed, please remember that many categories are very competitive. Every year the quality of the entries increases. Perhaps most importantly, we have seen more than a few authors go from no awards with their first effort, to an honorable mention with their second, to a first place with their third. We are all growing in terms of our skills and no one hits a home run every time. This year we had 227 hard working judges reviewing the books. The judges shared how hard it was to select the finalists for this year due to the great books participating.
